In the wake of the Hudhud cyclone, which wreaked havoc and left a trail of destruction across the region, Shri Prakash Rao took a bold step forward. Selling his ITI institutes, he utilized the proceeds along with salvaged materials from the cyclone's aftermath to rebuild and repurpose. With the help of friends, he transformed debris and broken tiles into the foundation of a new beginning for many. His unique approach to sustainability, including the use of discarded commodes as plant pots, symbolizes the regeneration of life from destruction.

The home, sprawling across four floors, provides refuge to approximately 175 inmates, embracing not only the elderly but also individuals with mental health challenges. Here, residents are treated with utmost kindness, engaging in activities like gardening that nurture both the body and soul. The heartwarming tale of providing sanctuary and support to a pregnant woman facing abandonment at eight months is a poignant illustration of Loyola Oldage Home's unwavering commitment.
